You’ve tried this before.
January: Full of resolve. Reading Genesis.
March: Stuck in Leviticus. Skipping ahead.
July: Guilt-reading Psalms to catch up.
December: Giving up entirely.
The problem is partially discipline, but it may be something else too.
Many reading plans treat the Bible like 66 disconnected books instead of one unified story pointing to Jesus.
Job isn’t stuck randomly between poetry books. You’ll read it during the patriarchal period when Job actually lived.
Prophets aren’t floating in isolation. You’ll read Isaiah while you’re reading about the kings he spoke to.
Suddenly, Scripture isn’t a jumbled collection. It’s a story that makes sense.
Every single day includes three questions:
Observe – What does this passage actually say?
Interpret – What does it mean in context?
Apply – How does this change me today?
This is the inductive method taught in seminary. Except you’re learning it one day at a time, not in a classroom.
By December, you won’t just have read the Bible. You’ll know how to study it for the rest of your life.
You’re not waiting 9 months to get to the Gospels.
Every day includes readings from both testaments—so you’re always seeing how the Old Testament points to Jesus and how the New Testament fulfills God’s plan.
This isn’t a “read the Bible cover to cover” plan.
Every day’s reading is framed around one truth: Jesus is central.
From Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, you’ll see how God has been orchestrating one story—the redemption of His people through His Son.
One continuous story of The missionary God pursuing the redemption of all peoples.
The plan is designed for completion in 365 days.
Not because we’re legalistic about it. But because there’s something powerful about saying, “I read the entire Bible. I understand the story. I see how it all connects.”
And if you fall behind? You have lifetime access. Pick up where you left off. No guilt. Just keep going.
Storyline helps you see the Bible as one story.
God’s story.
The story you’re invited into.
This Bible reading plan is a free resource to serve you as you grow spiritually, made possible by supporters who believe in our mission. If this resource blesses you this year, we invite you to learn more about our work reaching those who have never heard the Gospel.

Storyline partners with national leaders who are reaching unreached people groups around the world. We believe God’s story of redemption extends to every tribe, tongue, and nation—and that starts with helping people engage deeply with Scripture.
May God’s Word transform you this year.
