About Storyline

Equipping leaders. Accelerating the gospel among the unreached.

Storyline identifies key leaders who live in close cultural or geographic proximity to the least-reached nations on earth, and trains them to lead in the Great Commission.

Why "Storyline"?

The most important story in the world isn't on the evening news. It's the advance of God's Kingdom, as people everywhere come to know Jesus.

That's the Storyline we're all called to live for. We each have our own story too, so the name carries a challenge: will you trade up living only for your story, and step into God's?

The context

A seismic shift in the global church

Over the last 30 years the makeup of the worldwide church has changed dramatically. The explosive growth of the church outside the West means missionaries are increasingly coming from outside the West too.

Today most of the church lives outside the Western world. Mission thinkers estimate the American church is now only about 10% of the global church. Western Christians have a tremendous opportunity to embrace this and adopt an empowering posture toward the emerging missionary force.

"In our day, we are witnessing the greatest non-western missions movement in history."

Our strategy

Frontier Mobilization

Everywhere we travel, from Africa and Asia to the Middle East, Latin America and Europe, national believers ask the Western church not to replace their work, but to come alongside them as partners. Storyline is answering that call.

Empowering, not replacing

We come alongside national leaders to reach the unreached on their borders and beyond.

Training leaders first

As the mission field becomes the mission force, the greatest need is trained leaders. That's where we invest.

Churches as sending bases

Leaders learn to mobilize their own churches, so sending grows from within.
