Living Sent App

Privacy Policy

Storyline Missions built the Living Sent app to support your journey through the Living Sent 30-Day Challenge, the Oikos Mapping Tool, and the discipleship multiplication process from the SENT book. This page explains, plainly, how the app handles your information.

Last updated: 09/06/2026

The short version

This app does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on our servers or anyone else’s. Everything you enter — your Oikos map, your Multiplication tree, your journal entries, your progress and streaks — stays on your device only.

What the app stores, and where

The app uses Apple’s on-device storage technology (SwiftData) to save:

  • Your Oikos Map (the people and spheres you add)
  • Your Multiplication Map / discipleship tree
  • Journal entries you write
  • Your daily progress, streaks, and completed days

All of this data is stored locally on your iPhone. It is never sent to Storyline Missions, to Apple, or to any third party. We do not have a server that receives this information, and we cannot see, access, or recover it — including if you contact us for support.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t collect your name, email, location, or contact information through the app.
  • We don’t use analytics or tracking tools that identify you.
  • We don’t show ads or share data with advertisers.
  • We don’t require an account, sign-in, or profile to use the app.

Notifications

If you enable local notifications (day reminders, prayer prompts), those are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device through Apple’s iOS notification system. No notification content or scheduling data is sent to us.

Data loss and backups

Because everything lives only on your device, if you delete the app, lose your device, or don’t have iCloud device backups enabled, your journal entries, maps, and progress will be lost and cannot be recovered by us.

This section will need an update if/when iCloud (CloudKit) sync is added in a future version, to describe what syncs and how Apple’s iCloud privacy terms apply.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, since it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data — for example, when adding iCloud sync in a future update — we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.

This policy covers the Living Sent app only. It does not cover other Storyline Missions websites, tools, or communications, which may have their own privacy policies.
