Indonesia – Bringing Hope to the Unreached

For two years, Storyline donors have supported Daniel, a pastor in Jakarta, as he leads a team of church planters into Indonesia’s most remote villages—places where the gospel has never been heard. Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation with over 270 million people, is home to hundreds of unreached people groups. Less than 10% of Indonesians are Christian, and in these isolated villages, entire communities live without access to the message of Christ.

Daniel and his team of 6 church planters have established 7 new churches in villages so remote they’re difficult to access even for those living in Indonesia. Entire families are meeting Christ for the first time, overcoming intense cultural opposition and the real threat of persecution to follow Jesus.

Recently, when devastating floods swept through these regions, Daniel’s team was there—providing emergency relief, shelter, and supplies to families who had lost everything. In the midst of tragedy, God is shining His light. As Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).
