By Robert E. Coleman. Revell edition with a foreword by Billy Graham.
Robert Coleman studied the life of Jesus and asked a basic question: how did Jesus actually prepare people to carry His mission forward? The answer was people. Jesus chose a few, stayed close to them, showed them what obedience looked like, sent them out, and eventually entrusted His mission to them. Coleman organizes that pattern around eight principles: selection, association, consecration, impartation, demonstration, delegation, supervision and reproduction.
I recommend it because it reminds us that the Great Commission is not simply about getting the gospel out. It is about making disciples who will make disciples. I wrote more about the book here: The Master Plan of Evangelism.
